Mose Stovall

Mose Stovall

This Birmingham native was introduced to music at a very early age. Music first found instrumentally via the trumpet. This love for the brass horn led him to develop his singing ability. The late Dr. Perry Anderson, who nurtured and enhanced Moose musical skills, noticed that ability. This led to Mose being selected by the Birmingham Civic Opera, the Birmingham All City Chorus, and a candidate for the State of Alabama Choral Ensemble.
Time's seasoning took Mose all over the Southeast and in recent years all over the World. Singing with various groups - not just as a performer, but song/writer/producer as well. This gift caught the attention of NARAS, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, that’s right, the Grammy people. Mose had the honor of being the opening act for the annual Grammy Urban Showcase in 2001. Currently Mose writes for other artist, and travels throughout the southeast with The Band TCB led By Byron Thomas and is an active member of The Golden Sounds of The Platters.
Mose caught the eye of record companies - mostly Ron Price, CEO of Magic City Hittsville Records and Reginald McDaniel CEO of Soul 1st Records where he charted 35th on the R&B Soul charts with his Groove You CD, which bulleted to no 3 in two weeks. And on his "Private Party" he climbed the charts, getting spins in major Southern cities - Nashville, Memphis, Shreveport and numerous other cities including his hometown Birmingham. Mose has worked with such names as Tony Terry, Howard Hewitt, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Eddie Stovall, Sir Charles Jones, Willie Clayton, Omar Cunningham, Vic Allen, Big Ro Williams, The O'Jays, Eryka Badu, Calvin Richardson, Benny Latimore, Denise LaSalle, Bill Avery, Angie Stone, Producers Robert and Thomas Harris, Jamil Debarlabon, Mark Price, Ant Madden of Switz Beats, GEO, Six Nine & A/C, Austin Hall from Gasden and most recently Eric Moore Asylum Studios, Ron G Suggs of mobile and The Maestro Byron "Fangaz Thomas of Birmingham, amongst so many others. He feels that God's purpose must always be our guide. Singing is his gift, through music Mose wants to reach, to touch and to make changes in people's lives. 'My goal is to make people look at their lives and put it in a positive direction'
Music is a universal language, that crosses all barriers and touches everyone - anyone. 'Healing souls is my mission. I thank God for the chance to spread His love through my gift of music. Through me the gift is spread via records, Cds, TV, Radio and Video.
